MyAIMS POCUS

Learn point-of-care ultrasound skills that matter in acute medicine practice

Essential

Why MyAIMS POCUS Matters

Acute Internal Medicine relies heavily on rapid, bedside decision‑making. POCUS enhances clinical assessment by providing immediate visual information about cardiac function, lung pathology, abdominal structures, vascular flow, and more.

The MyAIMS POCUS programme aims to:
1. Build foundational competency
2. Standardise practice across Malaysia
3. Support safe, evidence‑based bedside ultrasound use
4. Prepare clinicians for more advanced POCUS pathways

Apply knowledge to actual clinical scenarios

We present cases you will encounter in the acute setting. Shock, respiratory distress, abdominal pain—you will see how POCUS answers the questions that matter most.

Master the fundamentals of ultrasound

You will learn probe handling, image optimization, and the basic physics that makes it all work. These foundations matter when time is short and decisions are critical.
